How a 15-minute Trance Cured a Life-Long Smoker

By Sanjay Kumar / Source: The Hypnotic Laws

I'll tell you a story about a smoker (he happened to be my father). As kids we begged and pleaded with him to just stop smoking but he'd never listen. My mother would also beg him to stop smoking but he just couldn't bring himself to do it. The only concession he made to us was to smoke outside the house so the smoke didn't bother any of us.

He smoked from the age of 21 to 46!

After a quarter century of heavy smoking one day everything changed for him. We were at dinner and the waiter and he struck up a nice conversation (in psychological terms this would be referred to as "establishing rapport").

When my father spoke to the waiter I could tell he was taken in by this man. They were about the same age, same ethnicity and they oddly even had the same body language at times.

This man – who we knew for all of 15 mins – was intently talking to my father about things and noticed the pack of cigarettes. He looked at him and I'll never forget what he said:

How to Control The "Command Center" In Your Prospect's Mind

By Joe Vitale / Source: The Code of Influence

Here's a million-dollar secret I've never shared with anyone before. When you use it, you will get inside your prospects' heads and manipulate their thinking to get them to do what you want---including sending you money right now for your product or service. Sound hard to believe? Keep reading and I'll prove my point to you.

Right now, as you read these words, you are practicing the very thing I'm going to describe. Centuries ago people read books by moving their lips. Over time---and probably due to complaints from the family---people learned to close their mouths. But virtually all people still read the letters you send them by saying the words in their head, almost as if they were speaking them out loud, but in reality speaking only to themselves. You're probably doing it right now.

You are, aren't you? It doesn't reflect anything about your intelligence. It's how most of us read. I read more than most people and I still read the same way you do, "mouthing" the words in my head. It's how most of us humans accept the written word. Relax. You're normal.

Why is this important?

Because this is a way for you to plant hypnotic commands right into the skulls of people. This is staggering power. When people read your sales letter, you are, in essence, right INSIDE the head of the very person you want to persuade. They are speaking your words---your commands, if you do this right---to themselves. You are in their "command center."

How to Recalibrate Your Reality

By Thorin Klosowski / Source: LifeHacker

Wish you were better/smarter/stronger/faster? Sure, hard work helps, but the truth is, your self perception may be getting in the way.

We all form our own realities, and those realities aren't perfect. Your self perception can be very limiting, and shaking up your notion of the world can do wonders for your productivity, creativity, and happiness. Here's how to recalibrate your reality.

Remember the last time you lost confidence after your boss was disappointed in your work - or maybe you were stood up by a friend? You second-guessed yourself after that, and ultimately your work or personal life suffered.

The idea behind recalibrating your reality is pretty simple. When you get locked into a view of the world you get stuck in routines and you lose sight of different viewpoints. Recalibrating that view can help you solve problems, win arguments, and even be happier.

Quantum Jumping with the American Monk

Humans 3.0

By Mark Changizi / Source: Seed Magazine

Where are we humans going, as a species? If science fiction is any guide, we will genetically evolve like in X-Men, become genetically engineered as in Gattaca, or become cybernetically enhanced like General Grievous in Star Wars.

All of these may well be part of the story of our future, but I’m not holding my breath. The first of these—natural selection—is impracticably slow, and there’s a plausible case to be made that natural selection has all but stopped acting on us.

Genetic engineering could engender marked changes in us, but it requires a scientific bridge between genotypes—an organism’s genetic blueprints—and phenotypes, which are the organisms themselves and their suite of abilities. A sufficiently sophisticated bridge between these extremes is nowhere in sight.

Bookend Your Day: The Power of Morning and Evening Routines

By Brett & Kate McKay/ Source: The Art of Manliness

You're a college student.

It's midnight. You're brushing your teeth and reviewing how the day went. And you're disappointed.

You had planned to work out, study for an upcoming history exam, clean up your apartment, and find time to meditate.

But none of those things happened.

You woke up late. As soon as you sat down to study in the afternoon you saw some friends who invited you out to eat. And that night you got sucked into aimlessly surfing the internet while the dirty dishes sat for another day in the sink.

You spit out your toothpaste and vow to do better tomorrow – tomorrow you're going to turn it all around. But the next day brings more of the same.

Does this sound familiar? Do you feel like you're stuck in a cycle of good intentions but disappointing follow-through?

There are several things you can do to get unstuck from this rut and start progressing as a man again. Today we're going to talk about one of the very best: "bookending" your day with a morning and evening routine.

The World is Your Mental Creation

By Burt Goldman, The American Monk

The principle of Mentalism -- which says the universe is a mental creation of God -- is perhaps one of the most inexplicable and mysterious of any principle as it involves the unknowable.

God, or as the followers of the teachings of Hermes say the All, is absolute and beyond understanding; all we can do is guess; and the guesses I can safely say will all be wrong. God is infinite and eternal; meaning God had no beginning but has always been, and will have no ending but will always be.

That alone is beyond comprehension. How can anything have no beginning? That my friends is the divine paradox. But allow me to address the fact that God is infinite. Being infinite he is in and of everything. I use the term loosely as God would have to be genderless and perfect. You can neither diminish nor add anything to him.

The universe is a mental creation. That goes along with the infinite nature of God. Allow me to use a metaphor as that is the only way to get even close to a comprehension of what I am attempting to say.
You can create a being, or an event in your mind. Every play, every book, every motion picture is a created fantasy, not real, but created by the mind of a person. An infinite being creates infinitely. In other words, all that is, all that was, and all that will be has been created in the mind of God. That is infinity.

The Extraordinary World of Remote Viewing & Out-of-Body Experiences

By James F. Coyle,
Author of Teach Yourself Remote Influencing

Throughout history there have always been individuals who possessed the amazing ability to "see" things either at a distant place or at a distant time, both past and future.

But it wasn't until around 20 years ago that serious research was started by scientific groups.

They found that the human mind had the amazing ability to "see" events at a distance even though under normal circumstances the "viewer" had no knowledge of these events.

They further found that under certain mind-states a person could "see" reasonably accurately into the future or into the past. Not only that but distance didn't matter.

Accelerate Your Brain's Evolution

Source: Brain 2.0

The human brain sets us apart from all other species on Earth by enabling us to achieve all sorts of wonders that practically no other species have been able to do.

Feats such as walking on the moon, composing masterpieces of art, literature, music, innovating and incorporating technology into our lives... all these have been made possible because of that spongy, three-pound mass of fatty tissue.

Yet, for all of its comparisons to our own modern technological innovations – such as a telephone switchboard and supercomputer – the human brain is a far more complex mechanism than we can ever imagine.

Despite the vast leap in technological advancements, we still have yet to discover the full extent of the human brain's capabilities.

The Brain Rejects Negative Thoughts

By James Gallagher / Source: BBC News

One reason optimists retain a positive outlook even in the face of evidence to the contrary has been discovered, say researchers.

A study, published in Nature Neuroscience, suggests the brain is very good at processing good news about the future.

However, in some people, anything negative is practically ignored - with them retaining a positive world view.

The authors said optimism did have important health benefits.

The Price of Your Soul: How the Brain Decides Whether to Sell Out

A neuro-imaging study shows that personal values that people refuse to disavow, even when offered cash to do so, are processed differently in the brain than those values that are willingly sold.

"Our experiment found that the realm of the sacred -- whether it's a strong religious belief, a national identity or a code of ethics -- is a distinct cognitive process," says Gregory Berns, director of the Center for Neuropolicy at Emory University and lead author of the study. The results were published in Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society.

Sacred values prompt greater activation of an area of the brain associated with rules-based, right-or-wrong thought processes, the study showed, as opposed to the regions linked to processing of costs-versus-benefits.

Mind power has been used through the centuries because it helps people achieve great heights in their careers, financial statuses and even in their personal relationships. The mind can actually have some inherent powers that generate attraction among people. This is probably why there are mind power seduction techniques existing today.

What most people are not aware of is that our minds can go from the conscious state to the subconscious state in the blink of an eye. Within this period of time, we are only using ten percent of our brain's total capacity for mental activity. Mind power techniques use the other ninety percent to produce great results.

That is why there really is no reason for you to worry about being alone for the rest of your life. Turn these great tips into dating success and reap the benefits of utilizing your mind power seduction.

Can Dreams Predict the Future?

By Richard Wiseman, Author of Paranormality

Aberfan is a small village in South Wales. In the Sixties, many of those living there worked at a nearby colliery that had been built to exploit the large amount of high-quality coal in the area.

Although some of the waste from the mining operation had been stored underground, much of it had been piled on the steep hillsides surrounding the village.

Throughout October 1966, heavy rain lashed down on the area and seeped into the porous sandstone of the hills. Unfortunately, no one realised the water was then flowing into several hidden springs and slowly transforming the pit waste into soft slurry.

Just after nine o’clock on the morning of October 21, the side of the hill subsided and half a million tons of debris started to move rapidly towards the village.

Although some of the material came to a halt on the lower parts of the hill, much of it slid into Aberfan and smashed into the village school. A handful of children were pulled out alive during the first hour or so of the rescue effort, but no other survivors emerged.

In all, 116 schoolchildren and 28 adults lost their lives in the tragedy.

Psychiatrist John Barker visited the village the day after the landslide.

Barker had a long-standing interest in the paranormal and wondered whether the extreme nature of events in Aberfan might have caused large numbers of people to experience a premonition about the tragedy.

The Happiest Countries on Earth

By Francesca Levy/ Source: Forbes
In the wake of their World Cup loss, residents of the Netherlands may be feeling depressed. But there's reason to believe they won't be done in by the agony of defeat: According to a recent poll, the country is one of the happiest in the world.

Championship-winning Spain, on the other hand, was swept with euphoria and national pride, but that may have been an unfamiliar feeling. The country ranks No. 17 of 21 European countries in terms of happiness.
The fact is good times probably have more to do with the size of your wallet than the size of your trophy shelf. The five happiest countries in the world -- Denmark, Finland, Norway, Sweden and the Netherlands -- are all clustered in the same region, and all enjoy high levels of prosperity.

How to Use NLP to Exorcise Your Demons and Start Attracting Health, Love and Money

By Charles Steed, Author of Dark Persuasion Techniques

People are sponges for information. As we make our way through life we pick up all kinds of data. Some of it is useful and some not so useful. And some of the stuff we absorb is downright hazardous to our well being.

We're especially susceptible to internalizing non-supportive beliefs and ideas when we're very young. From the time we arrive home from the maternity ward we take in the majority of our impressions and beliefs from the people in our immediate environment, usually our parents.

So if our parents are well rounded, reasonable people, we tend to be well rounded and reasonable. I realize the word reasonable, or any other descriptive word is relative but please, follow along.

Psychic Cloudbusting

By Neil Slade

You have pre-existing circuits in your brain for psychic and telekinetic powers. They are in a dormant (currently unused) area of your brain. By learning how to click your amygdala forward, you can activate these areas easily and quickly. You can change clouds, maybe even the weather, with your mind.

This is something I learned to do myself twenty years ago, and was able to teach friends almost instantly. I know at least six people who can do this without any problem, and actually are rather nonchalant about it. You will be able to do this yourself and when you do, a part of your frontal lobes will be activated, and reality will never seem quite the same any more.

Why It's All Wonderfully Good

By Zen Gardner

If your eyes have been opened you'll see how simple this truth is. While it can be daunting seeing the beating about the head the world is getting in so many ways via vast lies and conspiracies, what is it ultimately showing you? And most of us probably would never have noticed had the world not been such an upside down, backwards conundrum.

All this serves a wonderful, magnificent purpose.

What we see around us is not reality. It's a vast manipulated illusion. It's virtually a trick to see who'll fall for it.
