1974: Philip K. Dick Discovers the Matrix

In February and March 1974, Philip K. Dick experienced a series of visions of an information-rich “pink light” beam that transmitted directly into his consciousness. A year after the events Dick summarized the experiences that would pervade his writing for the final eight years of his life:

“March 16, 1974: It appeared – in vivid fire, with shining colors and balanced patterns – and released me from every thrall, inner and outer."

“March 18, 1974: It, from inside me, looked out and saw the world did not compute, that I – and it – had been lied to. It denied the reality, and power, and authenticity of the world, saying, This cannot exist; it cannot exist."

“March 20, 1974: It seized me entirely, lifting me from the limitations of the space-time matrix; it mastered me as, at the same time, I knew that the world around me was cardboard, a fake. Through its power of perception I saw what really existed, and through its power of no-thought decision, I acted to free myself. It took on in battle, as a champion of all human spirits in thrall, every evil, every Iron Imprisoning thing."

How to Thrive in the Matrix

You can have an amazing and abundant life free from enslavement to the Matrix once you realize how the Matrix got there in the first place as well as how your thoughts and feelings create your reality in every moment.

You are the Master of your own Manifestation and your choices have the power to free or enslave you – as you choose. At first glance life seems unfair and you may think that you are stuck in a system that is out to consume you. One one level, but this is not the only reality that you can experience.

Getting From Where You Are to Where You Want to Be

By Chris D'Cruz, Keeper of the Universal Life Secrets

Dr. Joe Vitale, motivational speaker and author, often says: "the fastest way to get where you want is to be happy with where you are."

Believe it or not, this mindset works! It may take some changes and soul searching on your part, but in the end, it'll be more than worth it to adopt this positive mentality.

While you should strive to make your dreams come true, concentrate, also, on yourself and your journey. When you spend less time wishing things were different and more time accepting what you've got, you've already found a sense of peace and happiness right there.

Here are some tips that can help you become who you want to be right now.

How the Science of Meditation Can Improve Your Life

The benefits gained through meditation are surprisingly large in number. From an increase in creativity to improved attention, meditation can go a long way in helping a person feel better about his or herself, especially on a spiritual basis.

The question a lot of people find themselves asking is 'how can focusing on a single object for an extended period of time - essentially doing nothing - produce so many benefits?' Fortunately, scientists and researchers have studied meditation, and these are the answers they have come up with.

Near-Death Experiences of the Rich and Famous

By Kevin Williams
Excerpt from: Near-Death.com

The near-death experiences of rich and famous people are particularly interesting. They are known all over the world. They are often beautiful, articulate and very talented in what they do. With this in mind, why would such a person reveal to everyone that they were dead and came back to life? Money? They already got that. Fame? They are already famous.

In fact, by telling everyone they came back from the dead, they may be risking their own reputation. People who reveal such things to others often become the butt of jokes or thought to be crazy. Why would anyone rich and famous subject themselves to this when it might result in lost fame and fortune? The only rational reason that such people who have nothing to gain is that it really happened to them and they want to share it.

The following are rich and famous people who risked it all to tell the world about their near-death experience.

A Millionaire's Secret

By Allen Says

Washington DC was nasty as could be. As I sat on the bench waiting for my bus
to arrive I couldn't wait to get back to the backwoods of Louisiana. I had almost sat in a pool of blood that was on the far end of the bench and I was ready to go. I truly hope people coming to visit our country don't make DC one of their stops.

Anyway, before my bus arrived I was approached by a nicely dressed elderly
gentleman in need of directions. I told him I had no idea what he was looking for as I too was just passing through. To this day I'm not sure why, but we started talking as if we had known each other for years.

We talked about life, people and eventually the conversation turned to
business. It was here that the gentlemen saw something in me, I suppose, that made him feel like sharing what he said was the greatest secret ever told. He said everyone had heard it but almost no one paid any attention to it, even though it was the one thing that could bestow a fortune upon any man or woman who used it.

How to Command Your Superconscious Mind

Whether you realize it or not, you create and shape your life with your thoughts. All things that become part of your physical reality are first created in the mind from the raw material called thought. Because it is an instrument of thought, a mantram is a tool which you can use to help shape your life as you wish it to be.

Now, in order to use mantrams to your advantage, you need to first understand the mind and how it works. Nowadays, the term subconscious mind is one that's frequently heard but seldom understood. Instead of subconsciousness, the lamas use a word that could be translated as superconsciousness -- consciousness of a higher order. The job of the superconscious mind is to take thought, which is pure energy, and give it physical shape in the material world.

Whole books could be written on the subject, but just now the important thing for you to remember is this: your superconscious mind is a willing and eager servant whom you command by way of your thought patterns. When you think a thought, you issue a command. Your servant obeys by manifesting the thought in the physical world where it becomes the things and events in your life. Thus, physical reality is a mirror of your thought patterns. Change your thought patterns, and you change the reflection in the mirror. In other words, you change your life.

How Group Meditation Changes the World

In 1978, what is known as the "Maharishi Effect" took place when a group of 7000 individuals over the course of 3 weeks were meditating in hopes of positively effecting the surrounding city.

They were able to literally transform the collective energy of the city which reduced global crime rates, violence, and casualties during the times of their meditation by an average of 16%. Suicide rates and automobile accidents also were reduced with all variables accounted for.

In fact, there was a 72% reduction in terrorist activity during the times at which this group was meditation.

Money Is Not the Answer

Money is not the answer. That's got to sound ironic coming from someone who believes whole-heartedly in the benefits of being rich. Forget about getting out of debt, paying bills, buying nice things, etc. That stuff's great, but at the end of it all you're not going to give a damn about your credit rating. Money's the last thing on your mind in that moment, I would imagine.

Money can reduce the stress of living, but it can bring just as much if not more anxiety. I've gone through my cycles of accumulating and losing money, getting more and losing it again. The money wasn't burning a hole in my pocket. I just had a big hole in my pocket and didn't bother to sew it up. That hole represented something in my mental blueprint that kept me from being stable with money. There was nothing wrong with the money.

How to Unleash Your Inner Genius

By Michael Masterman
Author of The Cheat's Guide to Instant Genius

Have you ever wondered what it is that makes a genius unique?

What makes him or her stand out from the crowd? Is it the size of his/her brain, the way he or she was brought up, or is intelligence simply passed down from one generation to the next?

Before we take a look at exactly what genius is, let's clear the air once and for all and find out some of the things genius definitely is NOT.

Forget I.Q. tests, levels of education, how big your forehead is: genius has very little to do with any of these things.

You can't inherit your intelligence from parents or grandparents, nor can you become intelligent simply by passing an exam or two. And even if your brain is the largest in the world, that doesn't necessarily mean you'll use it in a more intelligent way.

If you're a well read person you might have a lot of knowledge on a variety of topics. You may even have a degree or diploma in your favorite subject. Each of these is a positive sign of the potential for intelligent thinking, showing that you have drive, determination, and the ability to reach certain goals.

... But it doesn't make you a genius.

The Quantum Physics of the Afterlife

Dr. Alan Ross Hugenot has spent decades contemplating the conundrums of physics, along with the enigma of human consciousness.

Hugenot holds a doctorate of science in mechanical engineering, and has had a successful career in marine engineering, serving on committees that write the ship-building standards for the United States. He studied physics and mechanical engineering at the Oregon Institute of Technology.

"I did things using Newtonian physics to create ships," he said, "but the whole time, I knew better. There's this whole other world that our five senses don't register." He gave a talk on the science of the afterlife at the International Association for Near-Death Studies (IANDS) 2014 Conference in Newport Beach, Calif., on Aug. 29.

Exploring the scientific theories related to this other world, Hugenot has wondered whether the consciousness of living human beings as well as the "souls" of the dead reside in dark matter or dark energy. He has pondered the implications of the power our consciousness seems to have over physical reality.

Why Meditation Makes You Feel Better

Meditation yields a surprising number of health benefits, including stress reduction, improved attention, better memory, and even increased creativity and feelings of compassion. But how can something as simple as focusing on a single object produce such dramatic results? Here's what the growing body of scientific evidence is telling us about meditation and how it can change the way our brains function.

Before we get started it's worth doing a quick review of what is actually meant by meditation. The practice can take on many different forms, but the one technique that appears most beneficial, and which also happens to be among the most traditional, is called mindfulness meditation, or focused attention.

Out-of-Body Experience Triggered by Watching A Video

New research demonstrates that triggering an out-of-body experience (OBE) could be as simple as getting a person to watch a video of themselves with their heartbeat projected onto it.

According to the study, it's easy to trick the mind into thinking it belongs to an external body and manipulate a person's self-consciousness by externalizing the body's internal rhythms.

The findings could lead to new treatments for people with perceptual disorders such as anorexia and could also help dieters too.

The Meditation Hack That Saves You 70,000 Hours

By Karl Moore, Source: Zen12

We've all heard about the powerful benefits of meditation: Less stress, greater relaxation, sharper thinking, improved memory, enhanced creativity, and more.
Yet how many of us have experienced this for ourselves?

Meditation holds some amazing benefits for those that practice it routinely. Since the 1970s, there have been over 3000 scientific studies at over 200 independent universities, all validating the life-changing gains of regular meditation.

The problem is that reaching the states that bring about such powerful benefits takes time.

You need to invest hours in weekly practice. Months of training as you learn to slowly quieten the mind, supress the itching, and slowly progress into deeper and deeper states of meditation.

But what if there was a ‘hack' you could use to quickly achieve those deep, profound states – all within just minutes? Science has the answer.

Achieving the Ultimate Aim of Life - Freedom

By Enoch Tan, Creator of Mind Power Secrets Package

The ultimate aim of life is freedom. Life seeks more of itself. We all desire to live more, which is freedom. All wealth and power is for the purpose of having more freedom.

Those who realize this simple truth are the ones who attain wealth and power in a way that makes them truly happy and fulfilled.

In the pursuit of wealth and power, the aim is to create more freedom, not less. Wealth, power and freedom are one. When one becomes less free, their wealth and power are actually lessened in true measure.

The freedom we seek is the freedom to do whatever we want and have whatever we want. The more we can do what we want and have what we want, the more freedom we have. This is how you measure how much freedom you have in your life.
