The Power of Deep Brain Stimulation and How to Use It to Transform Your Life

By Nelson Berry, Creator of Subliminal Video Messages

Have you ever explored the concept of deep brain stimulation? The brain is very powerful; it is like the central processing unit of our bodies. Only the experts understand how it works, and they don’t even fully grasp the concept. Thus, the brain is also very mysterious.

But we have also learned about techniques on how to penetrate the deeper, mysterious levels of the brain. One of these techniques is deep brain stimulation, a process that attempts to reach deep beyond our consciousness into the inner workings of the mind.

We are capable of understanding our thoughts and forming logical conclusions in our heads. But there is a huge part of our minds that we have no control over. This part usually applies its influences in random areas of our lives, whether we like it or not.

And we find ourselves unable to control our own minds, our own habits, actions, behaviors, desires, fears, and decisions. These uncontrollable processes of the mind are all the works of the subconscious mind, a powerful state of consciousness that we have no access to and yet it has all the access to our life.

Scientists Plan to Build a Human Brain

The human brain's power could rival any machine. And now scientists are trying to build one using the world's most powerful computer.

It is intended to combine all the information so far uncovered about its mysterious workings - and replicate them on a screen, right down to the level of individual cells and molecules.

If it works it could be revolutionary for understanding devastating neurological diseases such as Alzheimer's and Parkinson's, and even shedding light into how we think, and make decisions.

The 7-Step Technique for Astral Projection

By Steve G. Jones, Host of Consciousness Evolution 101

People for centuries have been astral projecting, it has been documented by the ancient Egyptians and Greeks as being a method to experience something beyond our physical realm.

Our consciousness holds no limits, it is designed for exploration and we as humans possess an astral body to do exactly that. So by projecting your awareness to a different place in time, you're able to have an out of body experience and visit places beyond your wildest dreams.

To learn a little more about astral projection, we looked at Clinical Hypnotherapist, Steve G. Jones' rope technique.

If you're totally new to astral projection this is totally safe. Just relax, keep a clear mind, and know that you always have full control. If you want to go back into your body you need only to think about it.

The Bizarre Beginnings of Hypnosis

By Clifford Mee: Source: Covert Hypnosis Exposed

Dr Franz Anton Mesmer was an Austrian physician living from 1734-1815. He is believed to be the founding father of hypnosis due to how he used magnets to heal people.

Sounds weird I know, but stay with me.

This development was the pivotal moment in the evolution of modern hypnosis because people realised - for the first time - that the operator (i.e. the hypnotist) had the responsibility to acquire a skill (i.e. learn hypnosis) in order to be able to help his patients heal.

It also laid the foundation for the idea that special trance states could be used for healing - which to this day is one of the core definitions of the hypnotic state.

Whilst many of the ideas that Dr Mesmer came up with have little bearing on our modern day
understanding of hypnosis, the practices he developed were genuinely hypnotic - albeit a little bizarre! Because of this, the terms "Mesmerism" and "Animal Magnetism" are to this day still synonymous in many minds with the the practice of hypnosis.

The Science of Telepathy

By Chris Carter, Author of Science and Psychic Phenomena

Recently, journalist Steven Volk was surprised to discover that leading skeptical psychologist Richard Wiseman has admitted that the evidence for telepathy is so good that "by the standards of any other area of science, [telepathy] is proven."

Mr. Volk goes on to write, "Even more incredibly, as I report in Fringe-ology, another leading skeptic, Chris French, agrees with him."

Mr. Volk might even be more surprised to learn that back in 1951 psychologist Donald Hebb wrote this:
"Why do we not accept ESP [extrasensory perception] as a psychological fact? [The Rhine Research Center] has offered enough evidence to have convinced us on almost any other issue … Personally, I do not accept ESP for a moment, because it does not make sense. My external criteria, both of physics and of physiology, say that ESP is not a fact despite the behavioral evidence that has been reported. I cannot see what other basis my colleagues have for rejecting it … Rhine may still turn out to be right, improbable as I think that is, and my own rejection of his view is—in the literal sense—prejudice."

The Super Computer That Sees The Future

News abounds at lightning speeds—on the Internet and T.V., in newspapers, magazines, blogs, and social networking sites—but what do we get when we consume news? Scientist Kalev Leetaru believes news is capable of teaching us much more than just what happened in the world today.

“News gives you incredible information about people, places, and organizations,” says Leetaru, assistant director for Text and Digital Media Analytics at the Institute for Computing in the Humanities, Arts, and Social Science at the Univ. of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. “It also tells you about the relationships between them, about how people view each other.”

The field of digital humanities is growing, which is why Leetaru took his research to the resources at the Univ. of Tennessee’s (UT) National Institute for Computational Sciences (NICS).

Using a large, shared memory supercomputer called Nautilus, Leetaru has analyzed the tone and geographic dimensions of a 30-year archive of global news to produce real-time forecasts of human behavior such as national conflicts and the movement of specific individuals.

How To Be Awesome - A Guide To Powering Up Your Brain

You're already awesome, but sometimes you're tired, busy, or for some other reason can't be at your best 100% of the time. When you need to be, however, you can manipulate your brain and body to rise to the challenge. Here's how to fool yourself into living up to your full potential in a moment's notice.

Wouldn't it be great if you could absorb a power star or some sort of video-game-style power-up when you needed to overcome an obstacle that you just don't have the energy for? It's an alluring idea, and in ways, it's more possible than you might think.

Look at it this way: your reasons for avoiding everything from work to exercise to social activity are all self-inflicted. We're subconsciously playing tricks on our brains to avoid doing work. Seven Secrets of Naturally Lucky People

By Charles Burke, Author of Command More Luck

We've all seen people who are just naturally lucky. They're the ones who manage to sail through life with more unexplainable "lucky breaks" and fewer disappointments than most people get. Success just seems to come easier for them.

Where most folks have to struggle just to get ahead, lucky people regularly have opportunities just plop down in their laps. Of course, they work hard, but that doesn't fully explain the special treatment that life seems to reserve for them.

It almost appears that they were born with the proverbial silver spoon in their mouths. Or born under a luckier star than most mere mortals.
Well, cheer up; neither stars nor spoons are at work here. All they have is seven simple secrets. These secrets are easy little things that you can begin applying in your own life. And when you do, things will start to change for you.
Your career will begin to blossom in unexpected ways. And one day you'll realize that now everyone has started calling you naturally lucky, too.

Ready to command more luck in your life? Here are the seven simple secrets of naturally lucky people.

Exorcism Magazine Launched in Poland

With exorcism booming in Poland, Roman Catholic priests here have joined forces with a publisher to launch what they claim is the world's first monthly magazine focused exclusively on chasing out the devil.

"The rise in the number or exorcists from four to more than 120 over the course of 15 years in Poland is telling," Father Aleksander Posacki, a professor of philosophy, theology and leading demonologist and exorcist told reporters in Warsaw at the Monday launch of the Egzorcysta monthly.

Ironically, he attributed the rise in demonic possessions in what remains one of Europe's most devoutly Catholic nations partly to the switch from atheist communism to free market capitalism in 1989.

How to Be Free

Harry Browne's Freedom Principles By Frederick Mann

Freedom consists of a lack of desire to control others
.

In 1973 author Harry Browne in the midst of a long career as an iconoclast wrote a book that was the most iconoclastic thing he ever wrote. Most of Harry's books were Investment Books, and while far from dry, they did not prepare the reader for the excitement and revelation of his Freedom book.

The book, How I Found Freedom in an Unfree World, was more than the sum of its parts. It was philosophy, without the baggage that the word philosophy engenders. It provided the reader with clearly defined guide-lines explaining how to attain freedom, and clear explanations of how we often sabotage of own efforts to be free, and suggestions of how we can defuse that sabotage within ourselves.

I read How I Found Freedom in an Unfree World in 1973, and it changed my life radically and for the better. It showed me what freedom was and how to attain it.

Knowing You're Going to Die - Strange Cases of Death Visions

Source: WeirdAustralia.com

In 1912, timber worker William Toogood had a vivid prophetic dream of his impending death and the gruesome way in which it would occur. The following day William told his workmates of the disturbing dream, describing how logs had to be lifted to recover his battered body. Later that day, William Toogood died, precisely in the manner in which his dream had foretold.

Prophetic dreams are surprisingly common. Sometimes however, people simply have a sense, or feeling that their time will soon be up. There is no vivid dream, no profound vision, but just, well, a hunch.

This week, we delve into some of these curious cases of presentiments of death.

The Weirdest Weight Loss Secret

Source: Listen and Lose

I'll admit it, this is weird. Using hypnosis, it's possible to trick your body into thinking it's had "weight loss" surgery... and drop pounds from your figure as a side effect.

That's because right now, your brain may be wired to crave sugary foods and 'fake' calories... and produce the hormonal effects that imprison you inside perpetual weight gain.

But what if you could reverse that programming, and re-wire your body's response to food and exercise? What if you could install effective behavior patterns that trigger dramatic weight loss... without surgery, pills, or crazy fad diets?

Does the Past Exist Yet?

By Robert Lanza, M.D. / Source: Huffington Post

Recent discoveries require us to rethink our understanding of history. "The histories of the universe," said renowned physicist Stephen Hawking "depend on what is being measured, contrary to the usual idea that the universe has an objective observer-independent history."

Is it possible we live and die in a world of illusions? Physics tells us that objects exist in a suspended state until observed, when they collapse in to just one outcome. Paradoxically, whether events happened in the past may not be determined until sometime in your future -- and may even depend on actions that you haven't taken yet.

In 2002, scientists carried out an amazing experiment, which showed that particles of light "photons" knew -- in advance −- what their distant twins would do in the future. They tested the communication between pairs of photons -- whether to be either a wave or a particle.

Researchers stretched the distance one of the photons had to take to reach its detector, so that the other photon would hit its own detector first. The photons taking this path already finished their journeys -− they either collapse into a particle or don't before their twin encounters a scrambling device. Somehow, the particles acted on this information before it happened, and across distances instantaneously as if there was no space or time between them. They decided not to become particles before their twin ever encountered the scrambler.

It doesn't matter how we set up the experiment. Our mind and its knowledge is the only thing that determines how they behave.

Does Hypnotic Weight Loss 'Surgery' Really Work?

Hypnotic motivational guru, Paul McKenna swears he can help 7 out of 10 people achieve sustainable, permanent weight loss through the power of hypnosis.

Dr. Oz recently interviewed McKenna, presented compelling testimony from his followers who swear by the outcome: After eating only a small portion of food, the feeling of fullness followed by some nausea and pain (akin to bypass surgery) were common occurrences for those who went through hypnotic therapy for weight loss.

According to McKenna, "This procedure is real new... we'll have to see what the long term effects are." The most powerful part of hypnosis is centered on the power of "suggestion".

Learning While Asleep Is Possible, says new research

New research suggest that skill learning while sleeping is possible.

Researchers at Northwestern University found that learning can occur during sleep and that even when one is asleep, it is possible to strengthen memory.

The study asked participants to learn two new melodies using key-presses.
After being taught the keys, the participants napped for 90 minutes during which only one of key presses was played gently in the room.

While sleeping, the participants underwent an EEG that monitored their brain activity.

The melody that was played during the nap was learned much faster than the one without, say researchers, according to Red Orbit.

A Million Ways to Make a Million Dollars

By Alan Tutt, Author of Choose to Believe

There are a million ways to make a million dollars. You can take any activity and someone has made a million doing it. Even to the professional vacationers that send in reports to the travel agencies, you can make money doing anything!

What I hope to share with you in this article is not so much what to do in order to make money and increase your prosperity, but rather how to think about what you like to do and see the money-making possibilities within it!
We are never so limited as our imaginations make us.

One of the most important topics we work with in the Keys To Power Mastery System is the topic of underlying assumptions. And here is why. If you assume that the only way to make money is to work for someone else, then you will never consider the idea of running your own business. And if you assume that there is no way to make money doing what you love to do, then you will lose out because of that assumption.

Happiness Is A Choice

By Alan Tutt, Author of Choose to Believe

Happiness is a choice.

This may come as a bold statement for many, yet it is the absolute truth. In almost any situation we find ourselves, we can choose to be happy if we want to. Obviously, this is more difficult to do in some situations than in others. For example, if we are in physical pain, it's very difficult to focus our minds on happiness. And when we are experiencing something pleasurable, happiness almost comes on it's own.

In our modern world, we rarely experience physical pain. Most of the situations we find ourselves unhappy in are simply situations that don't meet our expectations. A friend who betrays our trust, a life partner that is dishonest or unfaithful, a boss that is difficult and demanding. These are the types of situations that we can choose to be happy in if we set our mental focus properly.

But how do we find happiness in the midst of these situations? Or, on a more basic level, how do we control our emotions to be what we want them to be? And an even more basic question, why would we want to?
