The Lazy Way to Success

By Fred Gratzon,
Author of "The Lazy Way To Success"

I don't believe in work. And I could never hold a job.

Then again, I never really wanted one. I only took a job when I got absolutely desperate. Even still, it didn't take long for me to get fired. Or to run out screaming.

Selling my freedom for something as trivial as money was always sheer agony. It never made sense to me. It seemed like a form of slavery.

But everyone told me that hard work brought success. Of course, I too wanted success - but I never could muster the willpower to actually show up for work, let alone do the work.

It is a great tragedy that nearly everyone on earth has bought into the idea that hard work has value. As a result, nearly everyone works hard. But, instead of becoming successful, nearly everyone gets exhausted, and stressed, and financially strapped. And many of those people get physically, and/or emotionally, and/or socially, and/or psychologically sick.

You would think that people would have figured it out by now that hard work is not the answer. Unfortunately, no one has and nearly everyone continues to blindly sacrifice time, and freedom, and health, and family life in an attempt to get money. They never reach their goal. Why? Because the hard work formula is a fraud, that's why!

Fortunately, one magical day when I was blithely avoiding all forms of work, I realized that no one has to give up freedom to be successful. I realized that you can avoid work and be successful at the same. In fact, I saw that avoiding work was actually the secret to being successful.

Brain Signals Can Control the World

By Malcolm Ritter
Associated Press

To somebody peeking into this little room, I’m just a middle-aged guy wearing a polka-dotted blue shower cap with a bundle of wires sticking out the top, relaxing in a recliner while staring at a computer screen.

But in my mind’s eye, I’m a teenager sitting bolt upright on the black piano bench of my boyhood home, expertly pounding out the stirring opening chords of Chopin’s “Military Polonaise.”

Not that I’ve ever actually played that well. But there’s a little red box motoring across that computer screen, and I’m hoping my fantasy will change my brain waves just enough to make the box rise and hit a target in the other corner of the screen.

Some people have learned to hit such targets better than 90 percent of the time. During this, my first of 12 training sessions, I succeed 58 percent of the time.

But my targets are so big that I could have reached 50 percent by random chance alone.

Bottom line: Over the past half-hour, I’ve displayed just a bit more mental prowess than you’d expect from a bowl of Froot Loops.

Trying to control a computer with help from a blue shower cap is one of the early steps toward a complex but straightforward technological goal: to use electrical signals from the brain as instructions to computers and other machines, allowing paralyzed people to communicate, move around and control their environments literally without moving a muscle.

Hypnotic Selling

By David R. Barron and Danek S. Kaus
Web Pro News

One of the most powerful ways to sell anything is to use the techniques of modern hypnosis.

In a clinical setting, a hypnotist gently guides the client into a trance. Once in that relaxed state, the unconscious mind more readily accepts suggestions to stop smoking, lose weight or feel more confident, etc.

Of course, while you're trying to make a sale or close an important deal, nobody is going to let you put them into a trance.

Or will they?

They will if they don't know that you are doing it.

Memory Transfer Between Organ Transplants

By Paul Pearsall, PhD, Gary E. Schwartz, PhD, Linda G. Russek, PhD
Nexus Magazine

If you wish to upset the law that all crows are black…it is enough if you prove one single crow to be white.
— William James, MD

It is generally assumed that learning involves primarily the nervous system and secondarily the immune system. Hence, patients receiving peripheral organ transplants should not experience personality changes that parallel the personalities of donors they have never met. When personality changes have been observed following transplants, the kinds of explanations entertained include effects of the immunosuppressant drugs, psychosocial stress, and pre-existing psychopathology of the recipients.

However, living systems theory explicitly posits that all living cells possess "memory" and "decider" functional subsystems within them. Moreover, the recent integration of systems theory with the concept of energy (termed dynamical energy systems theory) provides compelling logic that leads to the prediction that all dynamical systems store information and energy to various degrees. The systemic memory mechanism provides a plausible explanation for the evolution of emergent (novel) systemic properties through recurrent feedback interactions (i.e., the nonlinear circulation of information and energy that reflects the ongoing interactions of the components in a complex, dynamic network).

Recurrent feedback loops exist in all atomic, molecular and cellular systems. Hence, evidence for atomic systemic memory, molecular systemic memory and cellular systemic memory should be found in these systems.

How to Create a River of Abundance in Your Life Right Now

By Mike Adams

People always ask me about the secret to abundance. They say, "How can you give away so much, Mike, and still attract so much abundance at the same time?" Actually, that's the whole secret right there. Be a river, not a dam, and abundance of all kinds (financial and otherwise) will flow through you.

This article is a discussion about what I call "money harmony" or "energy harmony". Being a river means being the kind of person who is a conduit, who allows resources, including money, to flow through you rather than being the kind of person who tries to dam up the flow of energy and selfishly keep it all for yourself. This whole discussion gets rather philosophical, but it's also quite practical as you'll soon see.

There is a system at work in the universe that distributes resources to those who are the most responsible in putting them to good use. Of course, there's a competing system at work, too. That is a system that results in resources being collected in the hands of people who are deceitful, who cheat others, who are dishonest, unethical and so on. That system definitely works for some corporations and some individuals, but the price they pay for that is much too high.

I advocate a system that allows you to be rewarded for being a conduit of responsible use of money and resources. In this system, the universe acts almost as if it were a conscious dispatcher of resources. This consciousness takes a look at who is allowing resources to flow through them, distributing them and putting them to good use. It then rewards or replenishes that person with more resources, usually much more than what they allow to flow through them. So if you're the kind of person that donates money or time to a constructive purpose, and you approach it with the attitude of being a river and not a dam, you will be blessed with far more wealth than you give to others.

The Magic Power of the Switchword "DivineOrder"

By Shunyam Nirav
Author of "Switchwords"

DivineORDER is one of the very most useful, powerful, and effective switchwords. In any situation where disorder, confusion, chaos, or messes appear — declare DivineORDER. Or, to accomplish any task excellently and efficiently, say or chant DivineORDER.

It's a relaxed magic carpet ride of efficient action!

When I "turn on" the power of DivineORDER by affirming it silently or aloud (usually repeatedly), I notice that soon I experience being a whirlwind of energy putting the next thing and the next thing and the next into perfect, beautiful, functional, satisfying order, in perfect sequence.

In my awareness, I just relax and pleasantly watch my body move everything around into order...all have to do is silently chant "DivineORDER." What I see happening is usually surprising, as the sequence in which the tasks get done is often not what I would have thought of logically — but everything gets done very efficiently and excellently!

How to Seduce Others With the Hidden Power of Your Mind

For the purpose of this article, I will define the 'mind seduction of others' as the ability to erotically or sexually arouse another person using only the silent power of your mind. When you apply these techniques on someone, that person will feel deeply drawn to you over time, with heavy feelings on the sexual. Most often, a condition of 'falling in love' begins to take place upon the person you are wanting to seduce. No communication with the person is needed. It need not be someone you know. However, eventual communication will happen and should happen for it will provide you with valuable feedback as to the effectiveness of your efforts of influence. The methods presented in this article are powerful, without a doubt. The effect begins instantly, however there will be a certain degree of 'lag' time before you physically see results. Instant and automatic sexual influence is a mental skill that takes time. Like any skill, you need to develop it through effective and regular practice. You must maintain patience and calm rather than a rushing attitude.

Manifestation will come. And as your skill increases, manifestation will come quicker. If you are new to these techniques, then expect anywhere from a couple of weeks to a few months for results to be seen. Results are directly influenced by the amount of time you involve yourself in this, at least during these 'beginner' stages. Patience and calm (that inner smile attitude) pays off though, for you will begin to see your influence taking effect and molding into manifestation on a physical level; that person will become so drawn to you that eventually they will want to be with you.

David Lynch to launch Foundation for Consciousness-Based Education and World Peace

Softpedia News

The Oscar-nominated filmmaker, famous for movies like “Blue Velvet”, “Eraserhead” and “Twin Peaks”, hopes to raise $7 billion this year, to launch his Foundation for Consciousness-Based Education and World Peace, which will build schools to teach Transcendental Meditation, the spiritual techniques he has been practicing for over thirty years, under the teachings of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, the man who was responsible for the spiritual seduction of The Beatles, as well.

"People laugh about that, they have a really good time with it. But the real joke is that we don't laugh when the US government develops a bomb for two billion dollars that only serves to kill
people”, said the famous moviemaker.

"They spend billions of dollars on military projects and people don't bat an eyelid. That's a pathetic, sick joke”, Lynch added.

"This is not a pretend thing," said the director, whose intention is to use the money for "peace-creating super groups of 8,000 meditators" around the globe.

Lynch, 59, thinks that "today's students are even more stressed out”, but is sure that by meditation “they will start shining like a bright, shiny penny, and their anxieties will go away. By diving within, they will attain a field of pure consciousness, pure bliss, creativity, intelligence, dynamic peace”.

Meanwhile, the director is partnering with StudioCanal (a division of Vivendi Universal) to finance his next film, Inland Empire, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

Drugs to boost brain power will become 'as common as coffee'

By Steve Connor
Belfast Telegraph

A new generation of mind-enhancing drugs that act as "cosmetics" for the brain could become as common as a cup of coffee, according to an official investigation by leading scientists.

Powerful stimulants that improve memory, intellectual agility or other aspects of mental performance will almost certainly be developed over the next 20 years.

They will have few side-effects, little or no addictive properties and could be used for non-medical purposes such as boosting exam performance, making better business decisions or even eliminating bad memories, the scientists said.

Are Near Death Experiences Real?

By Melvin Morse

He said: First the car filled up with water, and everything went all blank. Then I died. I went into a huge noodle. It wasn't like a spiral noodle, but it was very straight. When I told my Mom about it, I told her it was a noodle, but it must have been a tunnel, because it had a rainbow in it. Noodles don't have rainbows in them.

I was pushed along by wind, and I could float. I saw two tunnels in front of me, a human tunnel and an animal tunnel. First I went in the animal tunnel, and a bee gave me honey.

Then I saw the human heaven. It was like a castle, not all broken down, just a regular castle. As I looked at it, I heard some music. It was very loud, and it stuck in my head."

Although prior to his near death experience, Chris had little interest in music, since his near drowning, his mother bought him a keyboard and he has taught himself to play the heavenly music he heard.

A Bill of Rights for Your Mind

"I can imagine the tabloid ads for personal injury lawyers specializing in things like 'faulty cerebral implants' and 'accidents' involving memory erasure," says Wrye Sententia, cofounder of the Davis, California-based Centre for Cognitive Liberty and Ethics (CCLE).

"As bizarre as it may sound, if we do not work to ensure that our democratic, constitutional rights can weather the transition to tomorrow, we may find ourselves unprotected in a world where we have no recourse for complaint."

Following the hit films Paycheck (2003) and The Manchurian Candidate (2004), the specter of corporate memory control has reappeared in the popular imaginary. We know the dream factory has pulled much here from fiction, but how much do these stories draw from fact?

I had the chance to speak with Sententia about the explosive developments in the fields of neurotechnology and cognitive liberty—and the even more fascinating legal problems they raise.

Here are some excerpts from our conversation:

Instant Altered States via Dreamachine

By Mark Allen
New York Times News Service

At first glance it looked like something in the window of a TriBeCa furniture store, an oversize lamp from the early '60s maybe. But when Kate Chapman flicked a switch and the 3-foot high latticework cylinder in front of me began to spin, it was clear that we were dealing with more than just another piece of midcentury flotsam.

The machine started to cast strobelike patterns of bright light on our faces, and when I closed my eyes as instructed, there they were, the dazzling multicolored forms that I'd been told about: mandalas and crosses and even Mandelbrot fractals, dancing across my eyelids.

I was sitting on the floor of Chapman's Brooklyn loft, and she was demonstrating her prized household appliance, a 1996 Dreamachine originally made for William S. Burroughs. Besides the trippy visual effects, the device is said to induce an "alpha state" - a state conducive to lucid dreaming or intense daydreaming - in people who face the cylinder with their eyes closed as it spins around a bright light.

Dreamachine enthusiasts - whose ranks have swelled recently thanks to chat forums and a book published last year - claim that it promotes a trancelike serenity, intensifies creativity and insight and even uncovers suppressed memories.

Why Doesn't God Answer My Prayers?

By Bob Doyle
Wealth Beyond Reason

There are a couple of things you've probably heard said over and over. The first is, "Why doesn't God answer my prayers?". What you'll generally hear next is the response which goes something like, "God DOES answer your prayers. Sometimes he just says 'No'".

The fact is, it's not God who says "No". In fact, God - the infinite source of "All that Is", ONLY says "Yes"! God is the ultimate "creation" mechanism. God responds PRECISELY to YOUR creative catalyst.

So you say, "Well, I've been asking God for money, but he hasn't given it to me.". The answer lies in HOW you are asking! Remember that God - the Universe - responds in a very precise way! It's a matter of Quantum Physics! If your prayer goes something like, "Dear God. I'm in trouble. I have no money. I can't pay any of the bills. I need money!", then THAT is what will be real for you. You WILL be in trouble. You WILL have no money! You WON'T be able to pay the bills, and you WILL NEED MONEY.

The Universe feeds back to you what you give it - and in fact, amplifies it!

Using Hypnosis to Stop Smoking

By Terry Martin

Without a doubt, your own will and determination to stop smoking are the best quit aids available to you. They are also mandatory requirements for successful, long term smoking cessation. With solid commitment in place, any quit aid of your choice will help. Without it, nothing will. So, with that said, let's take a look at hypnosis as a tool to help you stop smoking.

Hypnosis activates an altered state of consciousness in which a person is fully awake while being deeply relaxed and more susceptible to suggestion. Exactly how hypnosis works isn’t known, but one thing is certain: people in a hypnotic trance can't be convinced to do things they wouldn’t normally do. They are in full control of their free will.

You might be surprised to learn that you probably experience a self-induced hypnotic trance at least once a day. Have you ever been driving your car only to suddenly realize you can't remember some of the trip? Do you sometimes "lose yourself" while reading a good book or watching a movie? Three-dimensional life fades away, and you're immersed in a different reality, often vividly complete with emotions and physical sensations. That sense of disconnection from your present surroundings while awake and alert signals a hypnotic trance. Rather than being sleep-like, while under hypnosis, people are actually in a state of increased attentiveness, and suggestions offered can take root more easily.

CEOs Use Magic and Psychics to Boost Bottom Line

By Jim Dickins

Corporate Australia is turning to the occult in a bid to boost its bottom line, employing psychics and witches as alternative business consultants.

Self-employed professionals, small business owners and executives in major, publicly listed companies are among those joining an expanding network of "covens" organised by businesswoman and self-described witch, Stacey Demarco.

The former public relations manager turned pagan and author of There's A Witch In The Boardroom said people were looking for new ways to combine spiritual values with their material success.

"There's a belief out there that you can't be spiritual and make money at the same time," Ms Demarco said.

"Our spiritual practice isn't like that."

The Magic Power of the Switchword "Together"

By Shunyam Nirav
Author of "Switchwords"

There is an extraordinary word which can be declared, affirmed, chanted, sung, or mentally intended in any situation to always produce the most optimum result. That word is: TOGETHER.

People talk about "getting it all together" or "they've got it all together" — but you can deliberately declare the switchword TOGETHER and actually have it all together, in your life in general, or in any specific situation!

When you affirm or declare TOGETHER (silently or aloud), you soon become aware of the already-existing togetherness of all your aspects:
  • spirit-intelligence-heart-body;
  • subconscious-conscious-superconscious mind;
  • child-adult-parent;
  • masculine-feminine;
  • left-right brain.
You also are together in harmony in your outer world with everyone and everything around you. The results that you generate from this space are very satisfying, enjoyable, harmonious, efficient, optimum, and together!

Brain Implants May Relieve Depression

By Nic Fleming,
The Telegraph

A pacemaker-style implant shown in early trials to relieve the symptoms of severe depression could be available to treat British patients by next year.

Deep brain stimulation (DBS), already in use for Parkinson's disease sufferers, is reported to have had immediate and dramatic effects on most of the handful of Canadian patients on whom the technique has been tested.

The technique uses electrical pulses, sent via implanted electrodes, to jam neural wiring circuits in a part of the brain linked to depression in patients for whom anti-depressants or electro-convulsive therapy have failed.

The 3 Secrets to a Stress Free Life

By Jafree Ozwald

A stress free being is aware that he or she knows no destination other than Now. They experience no hesitation, procrastination or postponement of their life, ever!

Why should there be? They love life too much, so their mind does not get in their way to cause any resistance. They have no stressful constriction of blood vessels caused by adrenaline rushes or fear or anger, they aren't trying to avoid an early death because they are too consumed with the loving, being playful and enjoying life fully.

They are trusting the flow, connecting to their thoughts, emotions and physical body. They are tapped into the perpetual flow of bliss within themselves.

Stress free people have learned that stress is their number one signal from the body to STOP and LET GO! Any avoidance strategy to ignore this signal and keep going is a sign of future pain. They know this and want to transcend the mental prison of their ego's agenda.

They've practiced the art of letting go and releasing stress for years and still consider themselves to be a student. They are always learning. They've truly come around to embracing their own innocence so that they can see and feel within their innermost core of their being is this pure "being" energy...the ecstasy everyone is seeking.
