How to Cheat and Stay Healthy

Everyone wants to be healthy, but most people want to indulge too. It's cool - you're human. Go for it. Indulge. Cheat. Eat a lot of food. Pig out on a tub of ice cream. Drink a bottle of wine. Do it. It's fun. (Isn't peer pressure awesome?)

You don't need to be perfect to be healthy - you just need to be good. And being good is actually pretty easy and a lot of fun too.

Now, if your goal is to lose thirty pounds, or you want to pack on muscle, or you're training for a marathon, then the rest of this article does not apply to you. In these situations, you pretty much have to be as perfect as possible. I know it stinks, but you're the one who wants to look like a professional body builder. Not me. The same is true for people who are sick, obese, and diseased - in those circumstances you need to be perfect too - especially when faced with illness.

But if you're already relatively healthy and you're not looking to become the next runway queen, I have good news for you. You can cheat often and everything is going to be just fine.

Top 10 Weirdest Religions

We have previously published a variety of lists on strange religious practices, religions you never knew existed, and weird cults, but not a list of bizarre religions. This list is designed to fill the gap by discussing ten religions that most of us have not heard of (for good reason as you will see). Be sure to use the comments to tell us about any other bizarre religions and, especially, your own experiences of them.

Seven Body Language Tricks To Make Anyone Instantly Like You

How to Be LIked By Anything
There is no question that body language is important. And, according to Leil Lowndes in her book How To Talk To Anyone, you can capture — and hold — anyone's attention without even saying a word. Here's how:

The Flooding Smile

"Don't flash an immediate smile when you greet someone," says Lowndes. If you do, it appears as if anyone in your line of sight would receive that same smile. Instead, pause and look at the other person's face for a second, and then let a "big, warm, responsive smile flood over your face and overflow into your eyes". Even though the delay is less than a second, it will convince people your smile is personalised for them.

How to Live to 100+

Blue Zones
We all inhabit this beautiful blue planet, breathe the same air, eat food grown on our world’s surface and drink fresh water sourced from the Earth, yet some people are a whole lot healthier than others, and in fact, live decades longer.

These are people who live in what has become known as ‘Blue Zones’ across the globe and we can learn a lot from their way of life.

These zones describe the characteristic lifestyles and the environments of the world’s longest-lived people and, remarkably, the average person’s life expectancy could increase by 10-12 years by adopting a Blue Zones lifestyle.

Secrets of an Energy Healing Master

The cruelest form of starvation is to tie someone up and put a banquet before them, inches out of reach.

Health is such a banquet, and for countless people, it is being held out of reach.

They'll do anything to stay healthy; only they don’t know why they can’t.

If you're one of them, this list might hold the clue to the why.

These are the findings of a study by a team of researchers, led by Drs. Gary Null, PhD and Carolyn Dean MD, ND,
==> 1. An estimated nine million Americans are unnecessarily hospitalized every year.
==> 2. About 750,000 deaths occur in the United States alone as a direct result of poor medical care.
==> 3. Every year, 20 million unnecessary prescriptions are written for antibiotics to treat minor VIRAL infections.
==> And there are more...
The point is... if your plan for securing your health is based on Western Medicine alone...

This list is scary.

Little wonder that alternative medicine modalities are so hot these days — people are hungry for something new.

But one particular field of alternative medicine has seen tremendous growth.

It is sneaking its way into hospitals, surgery rooms, medical clinics, insurance companies and even medical schools.

Can you guess what it is?

Energy Medicine - the science and art of optimizing your energies to help your body and mind function at their best.

That's why I'm excited to let you know of a brand new Masterclass at Mindvalley Academy called...

This Masterclass is taught by the legendary healer, Donna Eden.

For the past 40 years, she has been relentlessly proclaiming, teaching, and demonstrating that our body is nothing but a collection of energy systems and that there are scientific means to naturally reclaim our health and vitality.

And using her clairvoyant-like ability to see nine different bodily energy systems, she has developed a simple, scientific framework for teaching others, who do not have this gift, to nonetheless work effectively with their own energies.

Just register and attend the Masterclass with Donna if you've been wanting to take responsibility for your own health and vitality...

You couldn't have asked for anything more.

This class will shift the way you think.

How to Create a River of Abundance in Your Life Right Now

People always ask me about the secret to abundance. They say, "How can you give away so much, Mike, and still attract so much abundance at the same time?"

Actually, that's the whole secret right there. Be a river, not a dam, and abundance of all kinds (financial and otherwise) will flow through you.

This article is a discussion about what I call "money harmony" or "energy harmony". Being a river means being the kind of person who is a conduit, who allows resources, including money, to flow through you rather than being the kind of person who tries to dam up the flow of energy and selfishly keep it all for yourself. This whole discussion gets rather philosophical, but it's also quite practical as you'll soon see.

The Quest for a Lucid Dream Orgasm

MindTrip Magazine
Sara Bramlett achieved her first lucid dream-orgasm last year. She wrote about it on the subreddit devoted to lucid dreaming, where she described the experience as "earth-shattering."

She had been dreaming about Jon Snow from Game of Thrones, and then suddenly, they were fucking and she was coming—as real as in her waking life, but with all the fantasy of a dream.
This wasn't just a regular sleep-orgasm, though.

Bramlett had manufactured the scenario through a lucid dream: an awareness that you're dreaming while the dream is taking place, where you can exert some control over what happens in the dream. Although many focus on achieving the impossible during their lucid dreams—telekinesis, flying, shapeshifting—Bramlett is not the only woman interested in lucid dream orgasms.

50 Life Secrets and Tips, Part 2

In Part 1, we explored 50 ways to start the new year right, by embracing your resolutions and providing some motivation to help you make this the best year of your life. But that was weeks ago... so here are some more helpful tips and tricks to hack your life!

Investigate what is known about death
What do you know about death? You certainly have beliefs around it, but what do you know about the science of death, or of those who have died and been brought back to life? Death is not as big of a mystery as it is made out to be. Do your research before you fear or misconstrue this most universal human experience.

Notice the small, beautiful things
As cliche as this sounds, there is so much beauty in the world yet we rarely appreciate it. Take 5 minutes, stop doing everything and sit down. Then clear your mind of your inner dialogue and focus intently on something in the space immediately in front of you. Nature always works best but literally any object will do. Study all of the minute details of the object and try to appreciate its complexity. This might take some practice but after you get into it, you’ll have that perspective for a while after.

Top 10 Inspiring Quotes from Siddhartha, by Hermann Hesse

Siddhartha
Hermann Hesse’s timeless book, Siddhartha, should be required reading for any spiritual seeker. The book is about Siddhartha’s journey as a respected son of a Brahmin. Everyone expects that he will follow in his father’s footsteps. He enjoys an idyllic life and follows the tenets of his religion expecting that they will bring him peace and happiness.

He feels the pangs of discontent though, and observes that his father and elders have not yet reached enlightenment, even though they too have followed the instructions of their religion. When starving and naked ascetics cross Siddhartha’s path one day, his journey truly begins. On this endeavor, he comes to a river that teaches him many life lessons.

If you haven’t had a chance to be profoundly awakened by this book yet, here are ten quotes from it that will move you to question your own environment, religion, culture, and relationships, to possibly find something more.

How to Win the Lottery with Visualization

During that long, lonely summer between high school and college, I was completely devastated after getting dumped by my high-school sweetheart. (It turned out there was nothing sweet about him.)

My older, wiser sister told me to get over him by fantasizing about my ideal guy. So I spent the summer eating and serving fro-yo at a TCBY, fantasizing from behind the counter that this Abercrombie & Fitch model was going to come in and sweep me off my feet. And lo, once I started college, I met a guy who met my A&F criteria: a hot pre-med football player, whom I dated for four years.

Ever since that summer, I've been a big believer in the power of visualization: you attract what you focus on. Los Angeles philanthropist and film producer Cynthia Stafford won the lottery thanks to visualization!

The Ageless Secrets, by Chris D'Cruz

As a self-help book, The Ageless Secrets fills a pretty small niche. Most other books give general guides on being, eating and living healthy, but D’Cruz instead provides specific information on living longer.

He begins by giving historical information on how people from ancient times have managed to live over a century, despite the poorer, less-sophisticated healthcare.

Surprisingly, the information he provides is factual and accurate – he isn’t just spinning stories to prove his case. He goes on to unravel the mystery of how these people managed to achieve their longevity – typically due to a combination of diet, lifestyle and exercise.

He also delves into more esoteric and 'mystical' arts that originate from the ancient Chinese empire, and gives the readers a primer on how they can make use of these secrets for their own benefit.

Dare to Ask for What You Want

Effortless SuccessBy Jack Canfield, Head Trainer of the Effortless Success Mindfest

Good things come to those who ask!

Asking for what you need is probably the most underutilized tool for people. And yet, amazing requests have been granted to people simply because they've asked for it!

Whether it's money, information, support, assistance, or time, most people are afraid to ask for what they need in order to make their dreams come true.

They might be afraid of looking needy, ignorant, helpless, or even greedy. More than likely though, it is the fear of rejection that is holding them back. Even though they are afraid to hear the word no, they're already saying it to themselves by not asking!

10 Books That Might Change Your Life

Positive thinking is at once the most widely embraced and the most frequently reviled philosophy in America. As I explore in my forthcoming book, One Simple Idea: How Positive Thinking Reshaped Modern Life, the gospel of positivity grew out of mystical and occult subcultures in America starting in the mid-nineteenth century and went on to become closest thing America has to a national creed.

Most of our modern ideas of positive thinking come from an American spiritual movement called New Thought, which promulgated the principle that thoughts are causative. This belief crisscrosses cultural lines from the New Age to evangelical churches. It underscores much of our political jargon, from Ronald Reagan ("nothing is impossible") to Barack Obama ("yes we can"), as well as our best-known commercial slogans from Nike's "just do it" to the U.S. Army's "be all you can be."

Positive thinking, sometimes called the mind-power movement, forms the foundational idea behind business motivation, mind-body medicine, placebo studies, and almost all varieties of self-help. It is the most influential psycho-spiritual idea of our, and perhaps of any, time.

What's the secret to a long and healthy life? All centenarians have their own habits and morning routines they swear by. From whiskey shots to daily naps to ice cream, here's what some very old people credit for their lengthy lifespan.

IN 2011, HUFFINGTON POST INTERVIEWED A CENTENARIAN NAMED RUTH. SINCE THE AGE OF 92, RUTH HAS COMMITTED TO WEEKLY PILATES CLASSES. SHE ALSO HAS A MEAN SENSE OF STYLE.

1. "Don't look at the calendar. Just keep celebrating every day."

2. "Invest in quality pieces, they never go out of style."

3. "I make myself go out every day, even if it's only to walk around the block. The key to staying young is to keep moving."
