The Quest for a Lucid Dream Orgasm

MindTrip Magazine
Sara Bramlett achieved her first lucid dream-orgasm last year. She wrote about it on the subreddit devoted to lucid dreaming, where she described the experience as "earth-shattering."

She had been dreaming about Jon Snow from Game of Thrones, and then suddenly, they were fucking and she was coming—as real as in her waking life, but with all the fantasy of a dream.
This wasn't just a regular sleep-orgasm, though.

Bramlett had manufactured the scenario through a lucid dream: an awareness that you're dreaming while the dream is taking place, where you can exert some control over what happens in the dream. Although many focus on achieving the impossible during their lucid dreams—telekinesis, flying, shapeshifting—Bramlett is not the only woman interested in lucid dream orgasms.

Is Semen an Antidepressant?

By Jennifer Abbasi / Source: Popular Science

Back in 2002, psychologists at the State University of New York at Albany published a study in the Archives of Sexual Behavior looking at the potential role of semen in alleviating depression in women.

The researchers presented evidence supporting an earlier hypothesis that the hormones in semen have a mood-boosting effect on women. For any woman who has had sex -- and enjoyed it -- this may not come as a huge surprise.

Cut to this past February. Lazar Greenfield, the incoming president of the American College of Surgeons (ACS), wrote a short Valentine's Day-themed editorial about mating in Surgery News. In it, he discussed the sex lives of fruit flies, rotifers and humans. He cited the SUNY Albany study before concluding: "So there's a deeper bond between men and women than St. Valentine would have suspected, and now we know there's a better gift for that day than chocolates." That gift, of course, being semen.

How to Have a Sleep Orgasm

MindTrip Magazine
It happens about three times a month. I'll be in that hazy middle ground between sleeping and waking, clinging onto some vaguely sexy dream I can't quite pin down, before I feel something slowly building. By the time I wake up, I'm having an orgasm.

Why Meditation And Orgasm Feel The Same To The Brain

By Riddhi Shah / Source: The Huffington Post

Spiritual teachers have been on to this for years, but research is now showing that orgasm and meditation create much the same effect in our brains.

According to a recent article in Scientific American, both meditation and orgasm decrease our sense of self-awareness.

Bliss, says author Nadia Webb, whether through the experience of meditative contemplation or through the bodily experience of sex, "shares the diminution of self-awareness, alterations in bodily perception and decreased sense of pain." In other words, both experiences lead to a temporary stoppage in the incessant flow of our internal commentary. Even if for only a few minutes, we are able to see ourselves as something other than the ego.

Erotic Hypnosis For Intense Orgasms

By Brian Moylan / Source: VICE Magazine

When you first meet Neil, a handsome if regular-looking guy in a tight waffle shirt and a pair of jeans, you might call him nerdy if he wasn't so nondescript.

Based on looks, you wouldn't think that this former IT guy makes his living giving people the most mind-bending, dick-splitting orgasms found anywhere on the planet. But, yes, this guy with a Ned Flanders statue on a bookshelf and Snoopy cartoons on the wall does just that in his Spartan apartment in New York.

Neil doesn't induce these sensations with magic hands or a dick that would make Ron Jeremy jealous. In fact, he doesn't even take off his clothes at all. What Neil does is lie you down on a couch, tell you that you're getting very, very sleepy, and then wake you up to the most intense feeling of sexual pleasure you'll ever experience.

What's his secret? That old staple of bad superhero cartoons and schlocky cruise-ship stage shows: hypnotism.
