Mind Tricks to Seduce Women (+free video!)

By Josh Pellicer / Source: The Tao of Badass

If you've ever seen a guy in a bar walk up to a girl he didn't know and make out with her almost immediately, it can be a completely mind-blowing experience. It may seem like it's magical or out of reach - a special ability or super-power that someone is born with.

But it's not. And it can be broken down into a few simple steps you can follow in order to make the same thing happen for you. In this article, I'm going to break down those steps.

The first step is to realize that about 90% of the difference between someone who's really good with women and someone who's not so good or mediocre with women, is the ability to spot a woman who's ready to make out.

I know it sounds kind of crazy at first, but it's true. If you walk into a bar and go up to any woman without knowing what signs to look for, your odds of success go WAY down.

Resolve to Escape

By Stuart Wilde, Author of Infinite Self

My ol' teacher said that before you are born you choose your parents and that you have an overview of the circumstances and beliefs that you are to be born into, he even said you have a comprehension of the defects or inabilities of the future body you will inhabit at birth, your DNA karma say.

It is a very original idea because your birth and the mindset you inherit from your parents overwhelmingly dictates the nature and circumstances of your life's initial journey. It is our first karma to be born into the restriction of a physical body that is sometimes frightened and it moves slowly, and the second karma is the family imprint that is emotionally embossed upon us. Our third karma develops as we grow up and we go out and test our embossed-self up against real life and other embossed, sometimes warped souls, and we learn through action and reaction.

Our forth karma is spiritual for humans know very little about where our consciousness comes from, or the dimensions that exist all around us, and we know little or nothing about God or the after-life, and nothing is ever written about our pre-life, where we were before we were born?

Religion attempts to address the subject of God and the after-life but it offers us nothing more than the arrogance of ignorance dressed in a platitude. It is not very accurate…mumbo-jumbo mostly.

7 Steps to Bring Riches into Your Life

We all want abundance in some form or another, whether it is wealth in the monetary sense to being richly blessed with meaningful relationships or even to achieve self-mastery — the wealth of spirit.

In this past decade, and, even prior to that, we have been introduced to the idea of the Law of Attraction with popular books such as The Secret and the Jerry and Esther Hicks series, just to name a few.

So Why Is It Still Hard To Manifest Our Desires?

We hear catch phrases like 'Be in the Flow' but what does that practically mean to you? How can you step into this flow and apply it to your situation or reality? Wishful thinking just isn't cutting it for some. Here are some fundamental reasons why it may not be working for you:

Do Super Computers from the Future Run Our Universe?

Scientists are conducting experiments to discover whether the universe exists within a Matrix-style computer simulation created by super computers of the future.

The experiments being conducted by University of Washington could prove that we are merely pawns in some kind of larger computer game. However, it is unclear who created these super computers that may hypothetically power our existence.

"Imagine the situation where we get a big enough computer to simulate our universe, and we start such a simulation on our computers," said professor Martin Savage, a physicists working on the project. "If that simulation runs long enough, and have same laws as our universe, then something like our universe will emerge within that simulations, and the situation will repeat itself within each simulation," he said.

Paralyzed Woman Controls Robot Arm With Her Mind

A woman who is paralysed from the neck down has stunned doctors with her extraordinary skill at using a robotic arm that is controlled by her thoughts alone.

The 52-year-old patient, called Jan, lost the use of her limbs more than 10 years ago to a degenerative disease that damaged her spinal cord. The disruption to her nervous system was the equivalent to having a broken neck.

But in training sessions at the University of Pittsburgh, doctors found she quickly learned to make fluid movements with the brain-controlled robotic arm, reaching levels of performance never seen before.

You Don't Want Money

By Dr. Robert Anthony
Creator of The Secret of Deliberate Creation

Are you discovering that just about everything you want out of life requires you to have sufficient wealth? If so, you might be realizing that wanting money isn't really so "greedy"  and "selfish" after all. You might be realizing that wealth and prosperity are pretty noble and admirable goals to set for yourself .

But this still doesn't change the fact that MOST people never make enough money to do the things they really want to do. Well, if you're not about to see yourself left behind, you'll  be itching to learn this secret of manifesting wealth and prosperity...

Think about it, none of us really want money. We want the things that money can buy, so we spend our lives in pursuit of money so that we can buy them...but why?

The Power of Now and Agelessness

Scientific studies have suggested that a mind that is present and in the moment indicates well-being, whereas shifting our energy to the past or future can lead to unhappiness. Now, a preliminary UCSF study shows a link between mind wandering and aging, by looking at a biological measure of longevity within our DNA.

In the study, telomere length, an emerging biomarker for cellular and general bodily aging, was assessed in association with the tendency to be present in the moment versus the tendency to mind wander, in research on 239 healthy, midlife women ranging in age from 50 to 65 years.

Being present in the moment was defined as an inclination to be focused on current tasks, while mind wandering was defined as the inclination to have thoughts about things other than the present or being elsewhere.

The Future of Meditation?

Source: Omharmonics

Do you meditate? Or are you at least curious about new scientific advancements into this ancient practice?

Yes? Well we have a gift for you to try from the team at Mindvalley - of the world’s biggest online personal growth publishers.

It’s a free meditation audio. But with a difference.

The audio uses a next-generation sound technology called Omharmonics, which Mindvalley has spent the past year developing with world-class consciousness engineers.

Designed to retune brain wave frequency to 7 - 14 cps (the optimum Alpha level), the result is a deep meditation within minutes - even in people who have no prior experience meditating.

The truth is, we all know our mind is a powerful instrument. But when it comes to meditation, people have been struggling for decades. Many of us can’t shake off mental chatter. We fall asleep. We get restless. We can’t find time to practice.

According to Mindvalley, Omharmonics makes all these problems obsolete.

Could this be the future of meditation?

Grab a pair of headphones, set aside a few minutes, and be the judge:

The Mathematics of Ommmmmm...

By Marc Abrahams / Source: The Guardian

Two Indian scientists are wielding sophisticated mathematics to dissect and analyse the traditional meditation chanting sound "Om". The Om team has published six monographs in academic journals. These plumb certain acoustic subtleties of Om, which these researchers say is "the divine sound".

Om has many variations. In a study published in the International Journal of Computer Science and Network Security, the researchers explain: "It may be very fast, several cycles per second. Or it may be slower, several seconds for each cycling of [the] Om mantra. Or it might become extremely slow, with the mmmmmm sound continuing in the mind for much longer periods but still pulsing at that slow rate. It is somewhat like one of these vibrations:

Marines Expand Meditation Training

While preparing for overseas deployment with the U.S. Marines late last year, Staff Sgt. Nathan Hampton participated in a series of training exercises held at Camp Pendleton, Calif., designed to make him a more effective serviceman.

There were weapons qualifications. Grueling physical workouts. High-stress squad counterinsurgency drills, held in an elaborate ersatz village designed to mirror the sights, sounds and smells of a remote mountain settlement in Afghanistan.

There also were weekly meditation classes — including one in which Sgt. Hampton and his squad mates were asked to sit motionless in a chair and focus on the point of contact between their feet and the floor.

The Power of Negative Thinking

The holiday season poses a psychological conundrum. Its defining sentiment, of course, is joy -- yet the strenuous effort to be joyous seems to make many of us miserable. It's hard to be happy in overcrowded airport lounges or while you're trying to stay civil for days on end with relatives who stretch your patience.

So to cope with the holidays, magazines and others are advising us to "think positive" -- the same advice, in other words, that Norman Vincent Peale, author of The Power of Positive Thinking, was dispensing six decades ago. (During holidays, Peale once suggested, you should make "a deliberate effort to speak hopefully about everything.") The result all too often mirrors the famously annoying parlor game about trying not to think of a white bear: The harder you try, the more you think about one.

Variations of Peale's positive philosophy run deep in American culture, not just in how we handle holidays and other social situations but in business, politics and beyond. Yet studies suggest that peppy affirmations designed to lift the user's mood through repetition and visualizing future success often achieve the opposite of their intended effect.

Scientists Watch the Movies in Your Mind

By Katie Moisse / Source: ABC News

California scientists have found a way to see through another person's eyes.

Researchers from UC Berkeley were able to reconstruct YouTube videos from viewers' brain activity -- a feat that might one day offer a glimpse into our dreams, memories and even fantasies.

"This is a major leap toward reconstructing internal imagery," said Jack Gallant, professor of psychology and coauthor of a study published today in Current Biology. "We are opening a window into the movies in our minds."

Gallant's coauthors acted as study subjects, watching YouTube videos inside a magnetic resonance imaging machine for several hours at a time. The team then used the brain imaging data to develop a computer model that matched features of the videos -- like colors, shapes and movements -- with patterns of brain activity.

Futurist's Top 15 Predictions for 2013

Jack Uldrich is a professional futurist, best-selling author and popular keynote speaker. Here are his top 15 predictions for intersting events that have a high probability of happening in the new year.

#1. First Heart A-Hack Victim

In January, an Arizona socialite will be charged with murder after it was uncovered she hired a former disgruntled employee of a leading medical device firm to hack into her cheating husband's pacemaker and deliver a lethal shock to his heart. Shares of the company's stock will plummet on the news and untold numbers of pacemaker-wearing philanders will be "shocked" into relearning that old adage: "Hell hath no furry like a woman scorned."

The Lottery of Life: Where to Be Born in 2013

Warren Buffett, probably the world's most successful investor, has said that anything good that happened to him could be traced back to the fact that he was born in the right country, the United States, at the right time (1930).

A quarter of a century ago, when The World in 1988 light-heartedly ranked 50 countries according to where would be the best place to be born in 1988, America indeed came top. But which country will be the best for a baby born in 2013?

To answer this, the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU), a sister company of The Economist, has this time turned deadly serious. It earnestly attempts to measure which country will provide the best opportunities for a healthy, safe and prosperous life in the years ahead.
