Nobody ever claimed a visit to the doctor was a pleasant way to pass the time. But if you’re timid about diving onto a psychiatrist’s couch or paranoid about popping pills, remember: It could be worse. Like getting-a-hole-drilled-into-your-skull worse. Or having-a-doctor-infect-you-with-malaria-to-cure-you worse. Think of it this way. After finding out what’s not going to happen to you, that couch is going to start looking a lot more comfortable.

10 Ways to Fail in Life
By Patric Chan
Creator of Success Trace Private Membership
So you want to be successful in life? Is that what you want? Then you better stop failing and become aware of these 10 ways to fail in life.
You see, I’ve been asked many times for how to achieve success and weird enough, seems like nobody’s taking that advice seriously. Then I realized one thing - most people are ALREADY failing before they even got started!
The article I wrote below is slightly controversy compare to the normal goodie-type personal development advice because this is the TRUTH. If I want to keep everyone happy and write about the colorful rainbow, birds chirping, flowers blooming, etc then I should just opens up a nursery home and take care of children. I want to tell you the truth straight to your face because I’ve been there and heard the garbage lies thrown everywhere.
Avoid these and you’ll automatically be on the right track (provided you want to be successful)…

Weird Physics: Heaven and Earth, UFOs, Consciousness
By Steve Hammons / American Chronicle
Some scientific views about our universe now include ideas about multiple dimensions in a "multiverse," bridges or portals between them, fields of "zero point energy" and other fascinating concepts.
How do these newer ideas about ways the universe might be structured and operate compare to more traditional concepts about an afterlife such as "Heaven" or a dimension where we might reside before coming into this life?
What about unusual phenomena such as perceptions of angels, strange lights or UFOs? How do these ideas fit into the overall picture?
And then there is the topic of human consciousness which includes our thinking, creative imaginations, dream states, sensory perception, extrasensory perception (ESP) or "anomalous cognition," prayer and even ideas of links between our consciousness and our DNA.
What are the connections between these many pieces of the puzzle? Can we understand more about the nature of these and other elements around us and within us?

Words of Wisdom from a 97-year-old Doctor
Source: Japan Times
At the age of 97 years and 4 months, Shigeaki Hinohara is one of the world's longest-serving physicians and educators. He has been healing patients at St. Luke's International Hospital in Tokyo and teaching at St. Luke's College of Nursing since 1941.
He has published around 150 books since his 75th birthday, including one Living Long, Living Good that has sold more than 1.2 million copies. As the founder of the New Elderly Movement, Hinohara encourages others to live a long and happy life, a quest in which no role model is better than the doctor himself:
Energy comes from feeling good, not from eating well or sleeping a lot. Hinohara says we all remember how as children, when we were having fun, we often forgot to eat or sleep. He believes that we can keep that attitude as adults, too, and that it's best not to tire the body with too many rules such as lunchtime and bedtime.

You Can Choose to Be Rich or Not
By Patric Chan

Look at me. Who am I? I started just like YOU.
I'm just an 'ordinary' 25-year old but I have somehow achieved some extraordinary results in my life.
I didn't have anything when I got started except my mindset and an unshakable attitude to be financially rich. That's all. If I need to obtain something, I'll find a way to get there – I don't just sit around complaining why I can't get there.
One of the men that has impacted my life is Anthony Robbins. In case you don't know, Tony Robbins' seminars are not cheap. But because I knew I needed it, I managed to find a way to get a ticket to his seminar.
No, I didn't beg for money, use sympathy to ask for a free ticket, rob a bank and so on. I EARNED IT. I started working a part time job and tried to increase my sales commission from the company I worked with at that time.
But still, I didn't have sufficient money to pay for the ticket. During that time, I had asked for installment payments and luckily, my request was accepted. But guess what?
Somehow, by end of the first month, I managed to make enough money to pay for the whole program just because I change my mindset, understood how to attract money and to take action towards achieving that.
The rest is history and here I am, helping thousands of people to be successful today. I've authored books, spoken at seminars, consulted clients and etc.
What's the lesson here?
No, it's not that I'm smart. The lesson is, THINK DIFFERENTLY.
Think how you can afford it, NOT how 'I can't afford it'.

Think and Grow Young: Just Say No to Aging
By Wray Herbert / Source: Newsweek
Imagine that you could rewind the clock 20 years. It's 1989. Madonna is topping the pop charts, and TV sets are tuned to "Cheers" and "Murphy Brown." Widespread Internet use is just a pipe dream, and Sugar Ray Leonard and Joe Montana are on recent covers of Sports Illustrated.
But most important, you're 20 years younger. How do you feel? Well, if you're at all like the subjects in a provocative experiment by Harvard psychologist Ellen Langer, you actually feel as if your body clock has been turned back two decades.
Langer did a study like this with a group of elderly men some years ago, retrofitting an isolated old New England hotel so that every visible sign said it was 20 years earlier. The men—in their late 70s and early 80s—were told not to reminisce about the past, but to actually act as if they had traveled back in time. The idea was to see if changing the men's mindset about their own age might lead to actual changes in health and fitness.
Langer's findings were stunning: After just one week, the men in the experimental group (compared with controls of the same age) had more joint flexibility, increased dexterity and less arthritis in their hands.
Their mental acuity had risen measurably, and they had improved gait and posture. Outsiders who were shown the men's photographs judged them to be significantly younger than the controls. In other words, the aging process had in some measure been reversed.

The Hidden Meanings of Dreams
By Lee Dye / Source: ABC News
Here's the scene: You wake up after dreaming about a horrible plane crash, and you're scheduled to board an aircraft later in the day for a long-awaited trip. Will that nightmare have any effect on whether you continue with your plans?
Possibly, according to a new multi-cultural study involving nearly 1,100 people around the world. You may not cancel your trip, but your dream will probably weigh as heavily on your thoughts as if there had been a real plane crash that day, not just a dream, according to the study, published in the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology.
The study suggests that humans from a wide range of cultures believe their dreams are a window into the inner workings of the mind and that they may even influence our activities while we're awake. Dreams are serious stuff.

Your Energy Level Determines Your Luck
By Enoch Tan
Creator of Secrets of Mind & Reality
Many people think that luck is something that is purely random, unpredictable and difficult to control. That is because they do not know what luck really is. When you are able to know the true definition of luck, you can learn the whole science behind this phenomena and gain control over it.
Luck is another aspect of your reality and perhaps the most powerful and important one. The more conscious and aware you become of the elements of your reality, the more of a conscious and powerful creator you will be.
Your luck is your psychokinetic resonance with the environment you are in. Like everything else, luck is an energy. It is something that is quantifiable not in physical but in nonphysical ways. You can quantify it physically only in terms of its physical manifestations in your life. Luck is dependent on time, place and consciousness.
When you are lucky, you are in mental and emotional resonance with your surroundings. When you are unlucky, it is the opposite. The level of resonance is the level of your luck.

The Science of Superstition
By Gilbert Cruz / Time Magazine
Do you believe in god? Do you believe in ghosts? Do you believe you can tell when someone is staring at the back of your head?
Religious or not, Bruce Hood believes that this is all a result the way the brain is designed. In Supersense, he describes how adult superstitions and beliefs in a higher power all comes from our inherent need to find patterns and order in the world.
Hood talked to TIME about superstitions, shared beliefs and why most people would not want to wear Jeffrey Dahmer's cardigan.

The End of Aging?
By Glenn Harlan Reynolds
Source: Popular Mechanics
Old age has always been like the weather: Everybody talks about aging, but nobody does anything about it. Oh, they’ve tried. For millennia, charlatans have been offering remedies for aging that didn’t work any better than baldness cures and virility restorers.
Now, however, with baldness cures and virility restorers that do work found as close as the nearest drugstore, researchers have started looking into ways to slow, stop or perhaps even reverse the changes that accompany aging. If these scientists succeed, their breakthroughs may lead to major changes in human society.
We’ve long regarded aging as something almost mystical or supernatural, and it’s easy to see why. Unlike, say, smallpox, aging doesn’t come on suddenly or spread from person to person. You also don’t recover from it, as you do from most infectious diseases. It happens gradually, and it’s pretty much unrelenting. Eyesight dims, joints get stiff and achy, teeth go bad and, in general, things just keep getting worse until death arrives.
But research demonstrates that aging isn’t a supernatural process; it’s a physical one that gradually occurs as systems wear out beyond the body’s ability to repair them.

Will Science Ever Find God?
A prize-winning quantum physicist says a spiritual reality is veiled from us, and science offers a glimpse behind that veil. So how do scientists investigating the fundamental nature of the universe assess any role of God, asks Mark Vernon.
The Templeton Prize, awarded for contributions to "affirming life's spiritual dimension", has been won by French physicist Bernard d'Espagnat, who has worked on quantum physics with some of the most famous names in modern science.
Quantum physics is a hugely successful theory: the predictions it makes about the behaviour of subatomic particles are extraordinarily accurate. And yet, it raises profound puzzles about reality that remain as yet to be understood.

New Watch Will Tell Your Future
Source: Ananova
Swiss watch-makers have teamed up with Indian fortune tellers to design a watch that claims to predict the future.
The watch features a bedpan-shaped section which turns brown when "the s*** is about to hit the fan", claim the makers.
Swiss makers Borgeaud say the bedpan turns brown when dark astral forces are about to strike and will not clear until the bad omens have passed.
The watchmakers say it will warn anyone when misfortune is about to strike.
And they are predicting the limited edition watches - there are 500 for women and 150 for men which cost more than £1,500 each - will prove a hit with celebrities and even politicians.
"It could be a hit with politicians all over the world," said watch designer Chitra Subramaniam Duella.

Pay a Computer to Say Your Prayers
Can machines address God? It’s a question that would undoubtedly interest Isaac Asimov, the father of science fiction.
The website "Information Age Prayer" does not shy away from such lofty theological debates and offers, for a few dollars, to recite prayers for the faithful who are too busy in this Information Age.
The concept is simple. Users have to click on their religion of choice on the home page, which leads them to a list of prayers such as the “Our Father” for Christians and the "Fajr" for Muslims.
Prices are based on the length of the texts and therefore vary. For Catholics, for example, the monthly fee for a daily prayer ranges from 70 cents for the “Hail Mary” to $49.97 for the rosary. And for the hesitant ones ($50 dollars, it’s a lump sum), the button offers a reminder: "Show God you’re serious - Get the complete Rosary Package." It’s an offer that’s hard to resist.

Honda Connects Your Brain to a Robot
Opening a car trunk or controlling a home air conditioner could become just a wish away with Honda's new technology that connects thoughts inside a brain with robotics.
Honda Motor Co. (HMC) has developed a way to read patterns of electric currents on a person's scalp as well as changes in cerebral blood flow when a person thinks about four simple movements - moving the right hand, moving the left hand, running and eating.
Honda succeeded in analyzing such thought patterns, and then relaying them as wireless commands for Asimo, its human-shaped robot.
In a video shown Tuesday at Tokyo headquarters, a person wearing a helmet sat still but thought about moving his right hand - a thought that was picked up by cords attached to his head inside the helmet. After several seconds, Asimo, programmed to respond to brain signals, lifted its right arm.

How to Cut Deals With Your Subconscious Mind
By Kent Sayre
Kent Sayre Hypnosis MP3
The large majority of challenges you have in your life are a direct result of you being out of rapport with your subconscious mind. Think about that for a minute and you’ll become aware of how true my statement is.
If you’re overweight, it’s because your subconscious mind has a program for you to eat unhealthy foods and doesn’t care much for exercise. Meanwhile, consciously (with your conscious mind) you think to yourself that you should eat healthy and get enough exercise every week.
So in the battle between subconscious and conscious minds, who wins? Your subconscious mind kicks your conscious mind’s butt every day of the week. All the time. Hands down. No contest.
Here’s the deal – You want your conscious mind and subconscious mind to be bosom buddies. Instead of having them clash, you want them to work in tandem together.
It makes sense when you stop and think about it. If you have rapport with your subconscious mind, you can talk to it, get feedback, and even “cut deals” with your subconscious mind as the title of this article suggests.
Here are a few white-hot tips for gaining rapport with your subconscious mind...

10 Fascinating Facts About the Placebo Effect
“Placebo” is Latin for “I shall please.”
Placebo trials are used to tell researchers whether a tested drug has any healing effect beyond that which occurs a certain percentage of time when people take an inert pill. A patient’s belief in a pill - a supposed medicine, but chemically innocuous - is thought to activate their body’s healing powers.
Do you believe the power of your mind can heal your body?
For years, scientists have looked at the placebo effect as just a figment of overactive patient imaginations. However, by now researchers have discovered that the placebo effect is not “all in patients’ heads” but rather, in their brains.
Placebo effect is a wonderful presentation of the power of our minds and our belief systems. It proves that our thoughts may actually interact with the brain in a physical way.
We have looked through scientific research and found a number of quite interesting data about placebos that have been published in the medical literature.

By Joel Chue / Creator of Mind Power Special Report
When you have just recovered from an illness like heart attack or stroke your doctor will always give you advice on how to regain back your health.
This advice can included quiting smoking, eating a balanced diet and getting regular exercise. However the healing power of the mind is also an essential and powerful weapon and medicine to your road to recovery.
In 2002, the Mayo Clinic did research and reported that people who are pessimistic about life don’t live as long and happily as optimistic people. Hopeful and optimistic people who are excited about their recovery recover more quickly and live more active lives. Bottom line: stay in touch with your mind, be in constant positive thought to activate the healing power of the mind.
